Building the dioramas was a great experience. Having gotten to pre-know what animal we were helping create a diorama for was great because I got to start thinking about what it could look like and it was great to see how differently it ended up looking after building it with the student was a great way to see how differently each person thinks about things. While building the dioramas, the students got to have hands on learning where they got to put their book learning towards something such as sculpting the environment. The dioramas were giving students a chance to learn about an animal local to our area that they were interested in while also getting to do something hands on. The dioramas followed the BC curriculum through us indigenizing the learning about animals with also having students learn the Ktunaxa name for the animal, students were also learning about the animals and their life lives with the names of the baby animal and what the animal eats and where they live.

A photo of the diorama that me and my buddy made (I remade the ktunaxa language sign since the one he made has his name front and centre)
