During the reading of Braiding sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, we did many reflections of the chapter by having multiple chart papers on the wall with different questions, we got to write our answer to the question on a sticky note to hang on the correlating sheet. I found this a great way for gathering the reflections of the readings of everyone without needing to dedicate a large chunk of time for discussion (especially since our class is so chatty and would take up the whole class period probably). I find this a great way to get students to share reflections with a written record for grading and also far less intimidating for students who struggle with speaking in front of the class it gives everyone a way of sharing or and participating while also saving time and being less intimidating for many students.
This fall into the curriculum through the concept of reflection and sharing ones ideas which is in the core competencies.
